Haha, I just found a painless way to get enough space for Ekiga on my 2 GB EeePC.

apt-get install localpurge

It gets rid of all the unowned locales that you'll never use. Someday I hope to speak more than English and a smattering of German, but I surely don't needall of this:

localepurge: Disk space freed in /usr/share/locale: 125799K
localepurge: Disk space freed in /usr/share/man: 2813K

Total disk space freed by localepurge: 128612K

And that's with a few of the more common ones around for fun.
