I've been taking notes in Markdown syntax on my personal wiki on Van Kampen's "Stochastic Processes in Physics and Chemistry", and the lack of nice math symbols has really been bugging me. Rather than write everything in LaTeX, I thought I'd go back and see if I could get my UTF-8 working, and I did, thanks to Sven Mascheck's excellent tutorial. I used Sven's 2nd method: something like AltGr + anotherkey.

I'll probably post my xmodmap bindings once I settle into them.
